Our Experience in Morioka..

Day 1 Summary
arrived at Narita Airport. We spent about 1 hour in Tokyo train station!!! ..took trains for ages (we got on the bullet train) and reached Morioka around 4pm. Then we rested a bit and went for dinner. Uh....met: Golf and Pub from Thailand,Nik's best friend Ylan and Vroom, from Vietnam. the Indonesians Prasti and Fauzi and 2 Koreans showed up Min Ju and Hye Heon. We went to some boring shopping mall to eat Baskin Robbins. Ice cream was much more worth it. At night, Huang and Geng Feng from China showed up.

Day 2 Summary
we all woke up late and had 10 minutes to eat breakfast. we purposely woke up late to reserve our stomach for wanko soba in the afternoon. at the wanko soba restaurant, the new zealanders arrived... HOT HOT! :P paul, aric, anna, ashleigh
the noob(keegan) ate 121 bowls of wanko soba noobles! :P (noobles are noob noodles) i only ate 46! xD
Malaysia won again!! You other noobs got served!! Later, we went for some rehearsal.... the hall was bigger than our school. Had some problems with the slide show and stuff.. At night, only the both of us went hunting for mcdonald (macadoneruuuuu). Took so long to find that place. tried asking around but they didnt understand what 'mcdonald's' was. in the end we found out it was called "mac".. just "mac".. NOOB

Ballack apologises for red card foul (although he didn't do anything wrong!)

LONDON, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Chelsea's Germany captain Michael Ballack apologised to Liverpool's Mohamed Sissoko on Sunday after he stamped on the Mali midfielder's leg and was sent off during a fiery Premier League match.
Ballack was shown the first straight red card of his career by referee Mike Riley for violent conduct six minutes into the second half.
He will miss the next three games.
The Chelsea midfielder waited outside the Liverpool dressing room to offer his apologies after the game.
"It's a bad situation for me," a softly spoken Ballack said. "It is the first straight red in my career.
"I didn't mean to injure him. I've just seen him now and I've said sorry," he added.
"In the second half these situations can happen. It was bad for me. The team worked very hard after this and we went on to win the game."
His manager Jose Mourinho said he could not be angry because it was his first direct red in a long career, a record he described as "fantastic".
Mourinho and his disappointed opposite number Rafael Benitez agreed the card was merited.
"It was a deserved red card," Mourinho said. "He told me he did not go in to hurt the guy but the rules are clear," the Portuguese coach said.
Both also suggested Sissoko might have been sent off earlier when he got away without a second booking for a foul on Frank Lampard.

These five students lead the Student Executive with the support of Phillipa Perkins, Michael Ralph, Brad Mitchell, Kerry Webb, Annabel Causer, Ben Hart, Nikky Bellamy, Mark Webster, Laura Fisher and Luuka Jones. Collectively this group of 15 Year 13 students lead five committees and Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 Year Level Councils.

BERK's first official meeting had ended.

During the meeting, we elected our posts:

All budgets will be from Keegan's wallet. :)

We also constructed the BERK rules and regulations (which was pretty biased as it was based on a 3:1 voting scheme)

BERK RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Amanda is NOT allowed to touch any BERK members including herself.
2. Amanda must ONLY speak when spoken to. <= i object
3. There must be a chocolate oath at every BERK meeting. Only high-quality chocolates. Our Oath: [We pledge allegiance to BERK the greatest club of them all, Amen]
4. Rule number 2 is applied EVERYWHERE. <= i object!
5. President or Vice has the FINAL say.
6. There's no leaving BERK.
7. Be nice to Amanda for 1 minute every oath/meeting. T-T

We also have to sing one of BERK's many theme songs for each meeting.

The remainder of yesterday's meeting we spent by researching for appropriate songs to be in our list of theme songs. we even recorded our awful singing. our meeting including the chocolate oath had also been recorded. Amongst the songs chosen are:

Today is our monthly BERK R&D meeting. (R & D stands for Research and Development)

Date: 6-7 August 2006
Venue: Kenwilldie's hse

Today's meeting started out with a good physical exercise. BERK members played golf, football and badminton in Kenwilldie's backyard. Rollerbuzz hit the golf ball into the neighbour's hse. Botaken bt Kenwilldie in badminton.

After that, they picked up the forth berk member, evilpanda from the ktm station. she had been riding trains for an hour and a half due to lousy train scheduling (esp. in Bank Negara)

Our agenda for today:

3. More filming
4. BERK relaxation programme
5. Learn the Hitz.fm's Dontcha song

We hope that our agenda will go on smoothly.

I managed to scare exactly 3 kids at Rumah Sayangan. When i was leaving, i shook my fist at one of them and he showed his fist back to me! I feel so proud of myself for being able to touch other people's lives.

Due to a majority vote, apparently the BERK session has been moved to next week.

we went to Rumah Sayangan on Wednesday. While waiting for the others to come, (speaking of which, i notice that when u inform someone to come BY 9.30a.m., they leave the house at 9.30a.m. =.=") we were talking abt berk.

we feel that berk should comprise of singles/bachelors. therefore, we thought of changing berk to bery much to keegan's dismay :P but ken said...

"amanda will be a permanent member."

the trip was great anyway. we taught the kids police and killer and they seem to like that game. dunno y that elizabeth and ken didn play. =.=" probably afraid that they would get punished :P :P :P

we managed to get keegan to cry like a baby and june to dance macarina much to the kids' delight. however, one of the kids beat all of us when it comes to performing when he sang and dance to high school musical.

pn. raja bought us dried sotong and fish from Lumut! :)

overall, the trip was alright. definitely want to go there again one day.

ken and elizabeth went to MV after that. for some reason, keegan didn. the rest of us had lunch at jusco where i had to endure watching jia min squeeze each french fries to pulp and let the oil form a puddle on the tray. pls, food is to be eaten, not toyed with >.<

to scare jia min, we tried to convince her that by pressing the french fries like that, the oil from the french fries will diffuse through the pores into her skin and her fingers will grow fatter. unfortunately, she's a lot smarter than we thought :P jkg jkg jkg hahaha..

i found out that they really watch a lot of korean movies, especially ze yen.

wonder what ken thinks of 'click'... so far, elizabeth seems to like it the most and perhaps me the least. :/

my sister went to the battle of the bands thing at sbu yesterday...

she saw keegan and joanna. but keegan didn even notice her.

she said the nicest performance was the skipping ropes one XD she even video recorded it so i got to watch a bit.

i saw that sort of performance b4 at sg wang. damn cun.

she said our school's band was alright..

she said there were some horrifying ones. XD

while keegan and my sister were enjoying themselves at sbu, i was at my dad's office. i had to suffer bak kut teh for breakfast with pa's friends. >.< ugh... my mum was laughing when she heard that i had to follow pa for bak kut teh.

so u can guess how much i dislike bak kut teh. gak!

I thought today i could stay at home and rest. But then this Sheen Leng had to remind me about a project, then out of the blue timothy called and asked me to go to SBU's Battle of the Bands.

Being such a good friend and since i hadn't seen him in ages, I decided to go just for fun. Although I was late, i got into the hall just in time to see SSG's band perform. They sang Keane's Somehwere Only We Know. They we're that bad....and were definitely much better than some other schools which had weird people screaming in god-knows-what language.

There was some band which had everyone cheering really loud at first. But every time we thought they finished playing, they just started up again with the same time. And after the fifth time they started playing again, nearly everyone was silent =_=

Haha there were some side performances which were more interesting than some bands. Three guys appeared with skipping ropes and everyone was either laughing or saying "wtf??". But then they started doing crazy stunts and moves i've never seen before with skipping ropes. No one was laughing at the end of it. xD

Most of the time i had no one to talk to because that timothy went and disappeared when we had just reached. =_= Only other people i knew was Joanna and some girls from my old fencing class. Joanna spotted Teck Ho, and her, Timothy and i went to talk to him. He didn't recognise any of us at all at first. Then again, neither did i.

Later, i had to go ju piau's house for a project thing...and i got home late.

Oh yeah, before i forget, congratatulations to my sister for her FANTASTIC A level results!!Well, fantastic enough for her to get into King's College!

She'll be leaving sometime in September.

Ah Beng: (thinks a while) 7 sasen(sergeant)! Sergeant: (puzzled) How come so many? Ah Beng: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun. One day one. Sergeant: (Malay recruit) Eh Mat! How many underwear? Mat: (without hesitation) 6 sargen! Sergeant: (curious) How come six? Mat: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat & Sun. Friday I wear sarong. Sergeant: (Indian recruit) Dei Tambi. How many underwears dah dei? Tambi: (very confidently) 12 Sarjen !!!! Sergeant: (shocked & fell to the ground) Why you need so many for? Tambi: January, February, March.....One month one.

Ah Beng bought a Honda VTI recently and drove to Ah Lian's place to show it to her. So there Ah Beng was bragging the various functions of his new car to his girlfriend. "This is ah, so fast even the Mata Chia cannot catch ah!" "Ha! Really ah!!! Steady lah!" said Ah Lian. "Some more hor, this is Automatic one, vely easy to drive!" So Ah Lian said, "Let me try! I wan, I wan!" So Ah Lian took the driver's seat and shifted the gear and floored the accelerator. The next moment, the car sped backwards and crashed into the lamp-post. "Alamak! What u doing? U Siao Char Bo! U see lah! Wah Piang eh!" screamed Ah Beng. "Solee, solee, pai sah lah! No lah, I tot hor, "R" for racing mah!"
